Biggs Band Day: Exploring Connections in the Visual and Performing Arts

The Biggs Museum of American Art invites school band students to an inspiring day centered around Keith Duncan: Battle of the Bands, an exhibition celebrating the vibrant tradition of HBCU marching bands. Students will tour the exhibition, view a special temporary installation created by Delaware State University students in celebration of local HBCU music and culture, and participate in interactive sessions exploring band culture, history, and performance skills, as well as career opportunities in the performing arts. Transportation and lunch will be provided for registered student groups. Teachers must register their student group through the Director of Learning and Engagement via email to participate in this special program.
