Read and Make Adventures

Join us this summer for a creative adventure celebrating art, reading, and imagination! The Biggs Museum of American Art and the Dover Public Library are partnering for an 8-week Summer Read & Make series designed especially for children and families.
Each week, participants will explore a different artwork from the museum’s collection through engaging stories and hands-on creativity. Sessions will include the reading of two children’s books connected to the weekly theme, followed by a fun art activity inspired by works in the galleries. From painting and collage to sculpture and mixed media, kids will discover new ways to connect literature and art while expressing their own creativity.
