The Biggs Museum of American Art overlooks Legislative Mall in historic downtown Dover, a unique location for events including receptions, cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners, lectures and business meetings. With our galleries open during the event, your guests will be inspired by our collection of over 1,800 works of historical and contemporary American art.
Choptank Gallery
The museum’s largest gallery features several contemporary permanent collection objects, traveling exhibitions, and is near our temporary exhibition space. This space can accommodate 75 guests for a cocktail reception, 50 guests for a presentation or 50 guests for a seated dinner. A 92-inch drop screen, ceiling-mounted digital projector and wireless microphone are available for presentations. This gallery also features local and building-wide audio capabilities.
Child HELP Foundation Gallery
Our educational space is perfect for meetings, lectures, seminars and training sessions. This space can accommodate groups of up to 45 for a cocktail party, 35 seated theater-fashion or 30 if tables are used. This gallery features local and building-wide audio capabilities and a drop screen.
Nancy W. Cook Founder’s Gallery
The museum’s orientation gallery features highlights from the permanent collection and traveling exhibitions. This space may be used for 15 guests for a cocktail reception or intimate seating for up to 40 guests for dinner or a meeting.
